Chives

Chives thrive in full sun but tolerate light shade, requiring at least 6 hours of sunlight. They prefer well-draining, fertile soil.

Chives are generally pest-resistant but can attract onion thrips. Maintain good air circulation, avoid overhead watering, and use insecticidal soap if necessary to manage pests​.

Harvest chives once they are 6 inches tall, cutting the leaves 1-2 inches above the soil. Regularly harvesting every few weeks encourages continuous growth.
