Water regularly, about once or twice a week. Ensure the soil stays consistently moist but not waterlogged. Adjust watering frequency during hot, dry periods.

Prune in late winter to early spring. Remove any dead or damaged canes and cut back lateral branches to encourage new growth and flower production.

Use a balanced fertiliser with a nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium ratio of about 10-10-10. Apply in early spring before new growth starts and again in late spring or early summer​.
